Using a RFC Destination – Sap cloud plataform .- cloud connector

Hi experts,

Here is my requiremnt: Create an HCP application using a premise RFC function.

So here is my setup.

I have a minisap system, with RFC function, also configured hana cloud connector with RFC and it is reachable, also in HCP cockpit is shown the connector status and it is ok.

Also created a RFC destination with the connector data and the connection is successful

So here is the question

I want to build an application , html5 application or sapui5 ( fiori look and feel ) with the parameters of the rfc function module ( premise ) , using sap web ide and the destination or connection already configured ( reachable and successful tested )

is there a wizzard where i can configure the destination? or is it by code?

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

    Hi Carlos,

So do you want to access the RFC destination you created in Web IDE? Or am I missing something here.

    Please let me know.

      Hi,

So which will be the best scenario to meet the requirement ?

Expose the RFC function as a service and connect the SCC with HTTP ?

Or ODATA is the only option for a sapui5 project ?

        Hi Carlos

You cannot access an RFC Destination from an HTML5 application, unfortunately. You can do so from a Java application.

        Morten
