Strange behaviour of webi reports on top of BEx

    Hi Experts,

Am getting a strange behaviour of webi reports created on top of BEx across environments.

I have used a Compounded InfoObject “Customer” in my report along with its Key and Text.

This Customer Chacteristic object is Compounded with Source System ID. e.g. 46

In my DEV environment, the result set shows Key attributes appended with Source System ID infront of it. Results below:

    CustomerCustomer – KeyCustomer – Text
    ABC Private Ltd.46/C0001ABC Private Ltd.
    XYZ Cmpy46/C0002XYZ Cmpy

Whereas, in my QA environment, the result set does NOT have Source System ID appended with infront of Key attributes as shown below:

    CustomerCustomer – KeyCustomer – Text
    ABC Private Ltd.C0001ABC Private Ltd.
    XYZ CmpyC0002XYZ Cmpy

In my above report query, Source System is a Mandatory prompt which is maintained from BEx query and is allowed a Single value for which we have given a Default value at BEx.

At BEx level, the Variable properties are found to be same in both the environments.

Please note that both the BOE systems are in the same Patch level.

Could you please help me figure out the reason for this discrepancy?

    Thanks in advance!

      Hi Muthulakshmi,

Please go through the below thread and blog and see if there is any string function or exclusion techniques used for compounded string on QA environment at universe layer or webi layer.

Also please confirm if the you are using the exact same object in both cases, reason being in some case short text returns uncompounded data
