      Hi Ram,

The root cause of this issue is an error coming from AWS that should pop up in the SAP CAL UI:

You are not subscribed to this service. Please go to http://aws.amazon.com to subscribe. (Service: AmazonEC2; Status Code: 401; Error Code: OptInRequired; Request ID: d05ed599-2486-4a5b-8ae0-7dfdf50609a4)

According to http://docs.aws.amazon.com/AWSEC2/latest/APIReference/api-error-codes.html OptinRequired means “You are not authorized to use the requested service. Ensure that you have subscribed to the service you are trying to use. If you are new to AWS, your account might take some time to be activated while your credit card details are being verified.

So if you’d like to continue with SAP CAL you would need to subscribe for the AWS EC2 service.

While the SAP CAL dev team is fixing the error handling in the quick launch you can create the instance starting from the Solutions tab in SAP CAL. More information is available in the SAP Cloud Appliance Library Documentation.

      Best regards,
