BusinessObjects Explorer Accelerated

    We just installed BWA 7.2 with the BOE 2.0 blade and BO Accelerator 1.0. Also, we are running BW 7.01 SP10 at this time. We installed BOE 4.02 SP9 to use with the accelerators. Is this the accelerated version of BOE or should we be using X.I 3.2? We are also installing BO Enterprise Suite 4.0. The documentation we’ve read is not very clear on which version is accelerated.

      Exploring BWA indexes in Explorer means accelerated. If you index and explore Universes (UNX) or Excel files that is non-accelerated.

      In BOE 4.02 Patch 9 CMC -> Applications -> Explorer just enter the connection details to your BWA blade, for example:

      com.businessobjects.datadiscovery.dataprovider.trex.host=<BWA HOST NAME or IP>

      com.businessobjects.datadiscovery.dataprovider.trex.port=30016

      Then restart Explorer servers and log in Explorer -> Manage Spaces you should see the BWA indexes listed.
