Does BPC MS 10.0 support Excel 2016?
I am experiencing excel issues when using the EPM add-in for simple tasks like opening & amending reports.
– The excel ribbons become (partially) inactive (only accessible via shortcuts)
– Excel crashes completely more than occasionally when opening a report (
I can’t find a definitive answer nor resolution based on browsing SAP notes.
– BPC 10.0 MS SP 25 Patch 2
– MS Office 365 ProPlus

Microsoft Office 2016.To use this version,the EPM add-in Support Package 25, at least, is recommended.

Microsoft Windows 10 and office Microsoft 2016 is supported

16.BPC MS 10.0 does not support Microsoft Office 2016 in 365.
1/ Excel ribbon freeze
It claims “These fixes are applicable to both Click-to-Run or Microsoft Installer (.msi)-based edition” however Microsoft states
“Be aware that the update on the Microsoft Download Center applies to the Microsoft Installer (.msi)-based edition of Office 2016. It doesn’t apply to the Office 2016 Click-to-Run editions”
–> Does this mean the click-to-run fix comes through the automatic updates or is still to be released? (my Excel 2016 is to date and still has the issue)
2/ Excel Crash
Apart from opening excel templates, the issue equally can occur when using EPM formula “=EPMExecuteAPI()”
3/ Occasional VBA errors on FPMXLClient library : “run time error 438: Object doesn’t support property of method”
Eg EPMAddinautomation / ExpandActiveWorkbook.
