ABAP system – Support pack logs at OS level

    Hi,

I am upgrading support packs for ECC 6.0 EHP4 system via SPAM.

Could you please tell me the logs to be checked at the OS level for their ongoing process and components running status so that we can monitor correctly

    Thanks in advance

      Hello Daniel,

      Check the following logs :

      <DIR_TRANS>/log/ directory :

      1. SLOG & ALOG

      <DIR_TRANS>/tmp/ directory :

During the phase the logs for a package are written first here. once the phase is over for that particular package, it is moved to <DIR_TRASN>/log/ directory. So to check the current status you can check the corresponding loh in this directory and check if the size of the logs is increasing. If phase is over or you hit the error , log is moved to ../log directory.

      Regards,

      Gaurav
