RE: Get “invalid export type” error when trying to export report to PDF

      Hello,

I have an app developed in Visual Studio 2008 that I’m updating to Visual Studio 2015 update 3 .  Everything works fine except the Crystal Reports.  Most of the issues were resolved on my development machine when I switched from Local IIS to IIS express however I now get the error mentioned in the title.  I’ve attached a file that contains the pertinent code.  The error occurs on the line that contains “.Export()”.  I’m using CR for VS SP 13.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

mmmm.. Do you have Adobe PDF reader installed on that PC?   If you preview the report and then export using the Viewers Export button does that work?   Since it's IIS look for permission errors, it could since PDF has a history of having trojans and other virus's attached to them it could be your AV software is blocking access. Your AV software logs should report them.   Don
