RE: ERP Upgrade 2-system landscape

      Dear experts,

Kindly asking your guidance in the following query.

What would be the best approach and the steps in a 2-system landscape (DEV,PRD) upgrade (ERP 2004 to ERP 6.0 EHP5, Win 2003/MSSQL 2005), to be able to achieve dual maintenance?

Any pointing to useful documents/blogs/discussions would be very appreciated also.

      Thanks and regards,

      Shkelzen

Hi, DO you have any snadbox system where you can do the Proof of concept testing ... Because if you have DEV and Prod  system only its looks to me little risky as both prod and dev would be different in few ways like.   Dev will have more development objects that production. Prod will have more data than what it is there in Dev.(Issue in testing)   Usually team will create system copy of production and create sndbox system and then do the upgrade in there , Do initial testing and get the stats how much down time is…

For the upgrade you need to check the PAM that the OS and the DB are still supported .

You need to use solution manager to get the stack file create to upgrade to the EHP5 ..

You need to use the sum tool to do the upgrade.

        Demo of the Sum tool.

        Is the system dual stack?

        Check the relevant Upgrade/Installation Guides
