RE: Equivalent Support Package Confusion Under Upgrade
I have some confusion about equivalent support package. For example, regarding to package SAPKA74008 (SAP_ABA 740: SP 0008). Its equivalent support package is shown as below:
Question regarding to release upgrade:
1. If source SAP_ABA support package is 70217, then we can’t upgrade to SAP_ABA 740 SP08?
2. If source SAP_ABA support package is 70215, then no problem to SAP_ABA 740 SP08?

If your SAP_ABA source is 702 sp17, you can still upgrade to 740, but you need to include a higher sp level in your upgrade than sp8. Sp10 is available, so what you’ll want to do is include the support stack that has that in it as part of your upgrade.
When you set this up in Maintenance Optimizer, it should automatically set up that queue for you, and then when you run the upgrade in SUM it will ask you about including an additional support package stack.
